A Step Forward in Protecting Portland’s Music Scene

On August 11th, the Portland City Council voted 6–3 to approve a 180-day moratorium on large concert venues, pausing Live Nation’s proposed 3,300-seat venue. The next night, the Planning Board voted to table the application in respect of the moratorium.

Thank you to everyone who spoke, emailed, shared, and stood with us — and to the councilors who voted yes. This is a win, but the fight is far from over.
